What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Eccl 1:9

Because the above verse penned by Solomon is so true, I thought it would be a good idea to highlight some ancient Christian heresies that plagued the early Church. The aim being to familiarize visitors to the strategies the devil has used to derail Christians throughout the years, from the faith once for all delivered to the saints.

I have come across a series of written articles by Pastor Gervaise N. Charmley (someone I have personally met at the church he pastors in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent), that do a great job of giving solid background information about ancient heresies, the error they taught, and the way in which it affected the Church historically. The sad thing is that many of these heresies are very much alive and kicking today in various shapes and forms.
