The primary aim of this website is to promote sound biblical doctrine, that is both simple and practical for all Christians to grasp. Hopefully, this will result in regular visitors being more fully equipped to share and defend the Gospel, along with finding a deeper personal assurance that faith in Jesus Christ crucified for our sins, will never fail you. With that said however, this was not the only aim of creating this website.
As someone who has been hugely impacted by Lutheran theology over the past few years, I still find it utterly refreshing how much freedom I have found to simply “be a Christian”. No longer is my life compartmentalized into what could be labelled “standard daily life” over here, and “spiritual daily life” over there. No longer do I attend church as a service to God, but in order to receive the glorious and gracious service He has promised to give me, in the place where He has said He will give it. In other words, I can live out every part of my daily life, no matter how mundane, to the glory of Christ. Then every Sunday I can come to Church, and by the time I’m on my way home, be fully confident that all my sins are forgiven, and I have been equipped in the power of the Holy Spirit to face the week ahead.
This freedom of the Christian life is truly a wonderful thing, for how it actually plays out in our daily lives, is that as we serve others, we demonstrate our love for God. A mother on a school run in the morning, or a father labouring in the field, or a child doing his or her daily chores, are all fulfilling their spiritual calling, as much as a called and ordained pastor is when carrying out his clerical duties. What’s more, there are many ordinary Christians, in ordinary daily routines, who are equipped to serve those around them in other ways too. Which brings me to the reason for writing this post.
I would like to offer visitors with a creative flair, a place on this website to bless others through what you love to do. It may be writing articles, displaying photography or artwork, poetry, music or whatever else there may be. It is not about blowing our own trumpet by any means, but rather allowing the things that burst forth from a thankful heart in Jesus Christ, to be showcased in the hope to bring inspiration to other Christians too.
If this invitation is of interest to any visitors, please feel free to contact me for a chat. For those who have acceptable content to offer, a separate category will be created for them, so all future content will be identifiable and easily found via the site search facility. The invitation is also open to those who already have their own blogs and websites etc., as content can be mirrored here with source links to the original material.
Please consider the invitation anyway, as I’m sure it would be a great blessing to get an insight into how the Lord Jesus Christ, through His Gospel, has impacted the daily lives of Christians, especially through the creative skills they have been blessed with.
